Vernon Monument News

Please read the letter attached from David Sandiford the PV project Manager with regards to the effect of the corona virus.

As you will see there has been given considerable thought to the ability to hold the ceremony without causing undue risk to an aging group therefore a decision has been taken to reduce attendance at the event to under 300, and to those within a 20 mile radius of Gunwharf Keys.

I am sure you will all understand that this decision was not taken lightly and I know it will affect some of you that have included the unveiling as part of a longer programme which would have included the re-union.

At this stage the evening social remains in place although I suspect it will be in a reduced capacity and as more information on this becomes available I will update you.

Unless Government advice prevents it taking place it is the current intention that the MWA AGM and annual reunion remains in place for the 27/28 March 20 as planned.

Those of you with invitations and live within the 20 mile radius who still intend to attend the unveiling, Can I ask that you confirm to either Grenville Johnson or George Turnbull both Cc’d above so they have accurate numbers.

Thanks you all for your understanding. Please pass to anyone you believe I may have missed. And I will update accordingly.

Many Thanks

Taff
